Default How to install Altec Lansing audio

I'm working on my first Hackintosh on a Compaq Presario CQ60-206US Notebook . It has an AMD Athlon X2 dual-core QL-62 processor with Altec Lansing audio hardware. Everything is working except the sound. Any suggestions will certainly be appreciated.

Altec Lansing is the speaker on that compaq laptop NOT the audio chipset.
Look up the audio chipset/controller for your laptop and post back.

    Default Installing on Compaq CQ60-206US

I have the same laptop it seems. I was wondering how you accomplished the install and if you ever got the audio to work? Is the WiFi working as well? I tried a couple of other distros and the install hangs immediately while loading extensions.

It came with Vista, which isn't too terrible, but it is Windows. I would be much happier with something else.
