Got system booting, no ethernet!
I just built a new system specifically for hackintosh'ing.
I used a GA-EP45-UD3P which uses ICH10.
After much struggling, I managed to get an iPC distro to install. I also got my video card (GeForce 9800GT) working at (I think) full capacity using an EFI string for a similar card.
My ethernet isn't working. I have a cable plugged in and the light is green, but OS X isn't getting an IP address from my router and shows the connection as inactive in the Network dialogue.
I'm a total noob and don't really know anything about kexts, etc. Can someone help me figure out how to get this working? Also, anything I should definitely do now that I have a new, working installation?
Edit: After a bit more tinkering, I got this resolved! Thanks anyway.
Still interested in "next steps" to take, though.
