Default First try with an Dell Inspiron 6400

    Hi there,

I am totally new to the Hackintosch scene and am trying a iDeneb 1.4 on a Inspiron 6400.

I burn the iso image on a DVD.

The install begins well but I am getting stopped when the install asks for an "destination to install" and I dont have any choice.

    I can just come back.

I had a Linux partition on it that I deleted from the Utility - Disk Utility

but I think I have to create a bootable partition on the HD or something like that.

I deleted the hard disk and put it in DOS format.

I guess I should use the terminal but to be honest I am stucked there and dont know what to do!

If somebody can guide me I will be very happy ... If I sound too stupid and get no replies I wont die

Many thanks for any help I can get (this message is a bit a throwing a bottle in the sea lol

    See u

    okay next prob :

    installation done = ok

reboot and during the grey screen with the apple I got a little icon that appears on the apple (like an O with a / inside it)

the wheel is still turning but very very slow but I keep on that grey screen.

So what could be the prob?

    Many thanks!

you need to format to hf journaled in order to install mac on your hdd it's an option in disk utility under erase once selected desired partition the hhd should also be bootable in GUID (i think) or perhaps MBR it under one of the options also if you need a guide to get it working once selected hdd for a dell inspiron 6400 here it is: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f200/265772.htm
