Default DVDs, USB drives don't mount with other problems

I'm running iDeneb 1.4 and got OS X installed and running somewhat on my Dell Precision 370. The SoundMax audio doesn't work and no USB drive will mount on the Desktop. Oddly though the USB keyboard, mouse, and even iPhone will work.

The System Profiler can see the USB hard drive.

    My Specifications:

    Dell Precision 370
    3.2Ghz Pentium 4
    2GB DDR 533
    GeForce 7600GT
    80GB IDE HD
    Sony DRU-865S Optical Drive

Default trying to get it running on my 370

    Hey Rusty,

    I also have a Precision 370,
i am trying to get it working on mine. So far the only build that works for me is Kalyway 10.5.2 without the vanilla kernel. The vanilla Kernel causes reboot everytime.

I am trying to install iDeneb so i can run Boot Camp,
    What customizations did you use?
what worked for you to get your system running iDeneb 10.5.6?

    Default Dell Precision 370

Use Kalyway, audio wont work. will do everything else, including dual boot. better to run vmware tho. other distros wont work for some reason.
