Hi all,

I have an acer extensa 5220 which i installed iDeneb v1.4 and everything installed fine from the DVD but after install it no longer recognises the dvd drive at all. I have obtained the devide ID from windows which is 0x808062850

But i dont know which kext to edit to add it in.

The strange thing is that it installs no problem several times over.

Any help would be great

I have a similar issue, I installed from a TSSTcorp TS-H653A DVD drive, no problems. It's iPC 10.5.6 on an dell e521 (amd) and now although I can see the device in profiles under Serial-ATA no matter what type of disc I put in, I can't see it under disc utility and it never appears on my desktop. I have a SONY DRX-S70U-R that I know works, and it also appears in profiler but no disc work. Any ideas???
