Hi all,

I upgraded my Hackintosh to 10.5.8 and the Audio has stopped working. In the system preferences it says there is no audio output device. I have been searching and trying stuff (Kext installs etc) and no luck. I am not a Mac expert and get incredibly confused with all the short hand, try this that and the other speak around so thought I would ask with the hope that someone would take pity on a mac novice and help me out.

The mother board is a Asus P5E-VM HDMI. Really not sure where I should start so if anyone can please help (and tell me exactly where to look / do) then that would be amazing :-)
