ATI HD 4890 Quartz Extreme Not Supported! Halp!
Hey folks.
Running iDeneb 10.5.7 and everything is working well except that Quartz Extreme is not supported, which i need for a game to download.
I'll admit first that as far as OSx86, I am a bit of a newb. I installed the files found at this post:
ATi Radeon HD 4890 [OSX Leopard - 10.5.7] - InsanelyMac Forum
Which corrected my resolution, and changed the Display/Graphics info to:
ATI Radeon HD 4890:
Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4890
Type: Display
Bus: PCIe
Slot: Slot-1
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 1024 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x9460
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176
EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318
Displays:
VW246:
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
Depth: 32-Bit Color
Core Image: Software
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Quartz Extreme: Not Supported
Rotation: Supported
Display Connector:
Status: No Display Connected
I have done this once before, and I thought that all i had to do was run those pkgs and QE would work. I've read around that there might be a kext file I might have to adjust/replace? I have no clue.
I would appreciate any help I could get on this. Again I am running an ati radeon HD 4890. Let me know if you can help and what info you might need to do so!
Bruzzi
I noticed on another post that the order of installing was different, should I have installed the 48x0 pkg first then restart, then install the eq/ci pkg and the enabler?
