Almost perfect install (USB problems and Kernel Panic)
I registered here with hope that someone is able to help me to resolve my last issues with OSX.
First of all my system:
Mainboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA770 DS3 AMD770 Chipset
CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9850+ BE @ 2.5Ghz
Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON HD4850 512MB
Keyboard: Logitech G19
Mouse: Razer Mamba
I started of with a fresh install of LawlessPPC AMD&Phenom 10.54 which I updated through Software Updater to 10.57 after making the necessary preparations like installing DSMOS.kext Apple Decrypt.kext disabler.kext and the latest Voodoo Kernel.
After that I installed the Natit ATI Enabler to make my GFX card working and noticed USB devices wouldn't automount so I downgraded my System.kext to 9.5 to match my 9.5 Voodo Kernel version. The Automount issues were gone but now I noticed that I got a Kernel Panic whenever I mount a .dmg file so I installed a 10.5.5 Seatbelt.kext which also solved this.
OSX is running really almost perfect now with only a few remaining issues.
If I leave my two external HDDs plugged in while booting Leopard every USB device stops responding as soon as I'm at the login screen, if I plug the HDDs in after boot they work perfectly fine.
The next issue, whenever I plug in my iPod Touch or my camera over USB my keyboard starts to lag, like if I push "g" once it writes gggggggggggggg or sometimes even stops responding altogether until I restart, if I remove the USB devices it's working fine again.
And another strange issue, whenever I launch a virtual machine in VMWare Fusion or Paralells I get a Kernel Panic instantly.
Thanks for any help in advance!
Got almost the same problems...
no Automount of Harddisks... sometimes Keyboard and Webcam stuck...
Mainboard almost the same:
dont know what to do... please help.. i am on 10.5.6 (still)
try deleting AppleHPET.kext
it might work
