4870 on 10.5.8?
Hi, I've got an Intel Mac running on my PC with 10.5.8. I've got sound and internet working, now all I need is my 4870 running smoothly. For some strange reason, with all the deleting and reinstalling drivers for the card, I do have native resolution. But, for some reason (could you hint why) when I install the drivers people recommend, I reboot, it starts up, but the screen darkens, like there is no output. Can someone give me hints or maybe a tutorial on how to get there 4870 running on 10.5.8 with QE/CI. thank you! Some relevant information you might need:

Nothing seams to work
. I installed that netkas 10.5.8 fix for QE/CI, rebooted, and QE still seems unsupported with software graphics. Please, any more ideas? Am I supposed to run that 10.5.8 fix with anything else?

I've tried that too..
Is there a way to uninstall all ATI drivers, and just start from scratch? without uninstalling iPC/iDeneb.

I'm strugling with my MSI 4870 right now after finally (for the first time in my life) getting iATKOS v7 (10.5.7) installed. That was subsequently upgraded to 10.5.8 through Apple.
I've tried the things mentioned above " A Simple Guide" etc. but all I get is a weird screen with spots that go wild when I move the mouse. This sort of seems like the BUG1 in "A Simple Guide" but the fix there doesn't help.
Any ideas?
Here are my specs:
i7 920 OC'd to 3.8
EVGA X58 SLI LE
6G OCZ 1600
MSI 1GB Radeon 4870
1TB Sata (Win 7)
300GB Sata (OSX)
After installing the kexts and packages in "A Simple Guide", my card would actually get recognized as a Readeon 4870 but the memory shows as 512 not 1 Gig.
I'm wondering if there is a better way of getting OSX on this system. Perhaps go 10.6.X? I've struggled with getting this far for a week so unsure if its a journey I want to undertake, however if that will solve my graphic card issues I'll probably dive in.
Any help or suggestions are very welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
