Keeping my old baseband...is it possible?
I'm running a 3GS jailbroken with iOS 4.0 using PwnageTool. I am on baseband 04.26.08.
Is it possible to restore my 3GS to 4.0, "UN"jailbroken condition (factory) but still keep my old baseband (04.26.08)???
I am giving this iPhone to my wife, she doesn't need it jailbroken but I'd like to keep the old baseband incase one day I decide to jailbreak it and the only way might require an old baseband.
I've searched the forums but can't seem to find a topic relating to this.
Thanks in advance.
No that is not possible. (Even if you have a saved SHSH for iOS 4.0 or 4.0.1)

Please read the stickies & search forum before posting! How to report an iTunes restore/update fail in a useful manner
iPad 3G 64GB (4.3.3, Redsn0w) oldest SHSH 3.2.2
iPhone 4 32GB (4.2.1, Redsn0w JB-monte) oldest SHSH 4.1
iPhone 3GS 32GB (4.3.3; Pwnagetool) factory unlocked oldest SHSH 3.1
iPhone 8GB (3.1.3; Pwnagetool) AT&T Locked - Unlocked with bootneuter

Okay, thanks. I sorta figured that, but I guess I just wanted to keep the old baseband seeing that I've been holding onto it for this long already.
I think it may be time to let go
