Question Is there any reliable jailbreak for 2g yet?

Its an absolutely, incredibly, surprisingly, conspicuously serious question because I just so happened to be unsure.

I read the otherday that TBA is the only, current jailbreaking option for the iPod Touch.

But ive read about this Redsn0w quite alot lately.

Note that I want to jailbreak my iPod that is running 4.1
I dont want the jailbreak for the beta or something fishy like that.

What would you say is the most reliable jailbreaking solution right now for the 2g?

Have you had any bad experience with it?

Come to think about it, is the 4.1 jailbreak even out yet?

No official jailbreak for 4.1 on the radar.

The redsn0w that is floating around claiming to jailbreak 4.1 is fake and is actually malware.

There is no jailbreak coming from comex for 4.1 (he was behind jailbreakme and spirit).

As 4.2 is already out in beta and will unify the iOS platform. With jailbreaks (and unlocks) drying up. I would not be surprised to see 4.1 skipped over and the exploits saved for 4.2.

This doesn't mean jailbroken for life devices wont have the existing exploits ported to 4.1. I'm running an unofficial 4.1 jailbreak by msft.guy on my old bootrom 3GS for example.
