I know that there are zillions of posts from guys like me complaining that their power or home button doesn't work and they want to get into DFU mode. I've been through loads of them, but they are all old, and from people running sometimes under 2.0! So that link to a file on sendspace or something, the one that you save to the c: drive, and then type this really long thing into 'run' doesn't work with my iPod, whether its because mine is 4.0, I don't know. My iPod is an 8gb 2nd gen MB model, so i should be able to get into DFU right??? PLEASE HELP ME! I really want my iPod 4.0 jailbroken, and i need to DFU it for redsn0w to push the jailbroken ispw over to my iPod!!!!

That should work for your iPod but requires a restore afterwards and you can only jailbreak with pwnagetool not with redsn0w.
