    Question [ZiPhone][Solved] Jailbroken 1.1.4 > apps don't start

    G'day,

Just jailbroke? my ipod touch (started with a clean 1.1.4) using Ziphone. Sooo easy! After doing so I noticed that mail, weather, stocks icons etc., appeared but none of these apple apps will run when selected. Using a ftp client I looked around my ipod and can see these programs in the application folder as well. Any ideas on how to get them to work?

I've installed a dozen 3rd party programs using installer.app with no problems.

    Thanks

Stay Away from StronZiPhone if you don't want it to mess with your iTouch's WiFi.

Restore to 1.1.4 and use iLiberty+ instead.

Yes it will, Select Jailbreak in iLiberty and "Free my iPod...".

Thanks for your help on this. I reset my ipod back to a clean 1.1.4 and downloaded ilibery+ and redid the unlock bit. When I did I couldn't download anything without getting an error message. Then I found this 'custom payload' fix on the web that was made by a clever person named XianLi and that worked a treat. THANKS AGAIN

However my problem persists - I don't have the apple apps icons on the desktop anymore but I can see their icons in the "visible" apps list in Poof.

I probably should have mentioned that my ipod is 6 months old and I've never had these apps before. I thought by jailbreaking it I would get access to these as well as 3rd party apps.

And while I have the ear of an expert, here's another noob question. Has anyone made a patch that allows you to view video from sites other than youtube?
