Yeah, I've tried resetting the network settings and all that good stuff to no avail. Reset everything to factory defaults, gone back to the non-jailbroken firmware, etc. And as far as that proposed fix goes, does that mean to download from the iPod itself, or... what? Because there's literally no way that I can connect to the iPod without it losing connection right after I close out of the Wifi screen. That's why I didn't give it a second glance last night.

I did, however, find another idea where they proposed connecting to an actual hot spot first, and then the ad hoc network right from the hot spot. I'd give it a shot, but it seems like all I've got around me are ad hoc networks.

But yes, if you can give additional information on how to go about doing that fix (i.e., where to download that... whatever it is... from).

Yes, thank you. We've established this.

But it's of no real assistance. The majority of the threads are based around a greyed out WiFi icon. I have no such issue.

I had the same issue. From what I was able to glean, it seems that during the jailbreak the wi-fi tables got erased/scrambled/ec. Whatever the reason, I restored the iPod in iTunes and sent it to Apple for warranty repair. A couple days later I received a replacement. I've found no other solution to this issue - so I hope your iPod is under warranty... YMMV.
