You can't. You can spoof a mac address but the touch doesn't have the software at the moment to do so.

Why do you want to change your mac address?
There is no gravity, the earth just sucks...

I found a solution that is working for me, but if you gonna spoof an existing MAC address in your network, make sure the original one is not connected at the same time as the spoofed one.

Connect to your iPod touch using ssh or use a terminal in it and type the following line

    ifconfig en0 ether
You will see your iPod touch's original MAC address.
Now to spoof it you just type the same command again followed by the new MAC address you want to use.

    ifconfig en0 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00
Now to check if your iPod touch's MAC address has been successfuly changed check again with the previous command.

    ifconfig en0 ether
You can revert to your original MAC address by restarting your iPod touch.
You'll notice that you real MAC address is still displayed in Settings>General>About.
Don't worry about it. You can check that, in your router's logs, the spoofed address is the one that will show up for your iPod touch.

I guess this is also working with the iPhone, someone can confirm ?

    >>ifconfig en0 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00

Is there anything similar to this to spoof a bluetooth MAC?

Question is my problem the fact that I used ZiPhone?

I don't know anything about MAC bluetooth.

    ok, so I type: >>ifconfig en0 ether 00:01:02:03:04:05

and it says: zsh: command not found: en0

is my problem the fact that I used ZiPhone?

it looks like people who use ziphone have troubles with terminal

    I have:
    BSD subsystem 2.1
    installer 3.11
    OpenSSH 4.6p1-2
term-vt100 svn278 (says update available but it will not download)
    SUID Lib Fix 1.0
    BSD Subsystem 2.0 Termfix 1.10

along with a few other programs like books and APLogger

    ipod touch is 1.1.4

does this offer any clues why this isn't working? :iphone:

Edit: redid with I liberty+ and it works fine.
