last time I saw something like this a guy had ziphone put his in to dfu mode and restore but if you say its dead.......

I have also tried with Ziphone but it doesn't find the iPod
So, for you nothing could be done?

Go to the iPhone fourm and then to page 5 of the pawnge fourm, there should be a thread there with a simailar name as this one, there is where me and mr x helped a guy in the same situation...

ipod/iphone will not show anytthing on it's screen when in dfu restore mode
computer just will see new dfu device.

looks like your stuck, best bet is to try diffrent cables or computers until then it sounds like a brick.....
