    Default Problem with music

I have noticed that some of the music tracks on my iTouch seem to be truncated. The song does not play to the end before it changes to another song. The song length shows as correct in the display. I have not noticed this as often on any previous iPod (I have about 4 of the earlier models).

Possible causes (differences between this model and earlier ones) include:

    1. This one is using the latest version of iTunes (seems unlikely to be the cause)

    2. This one was loaded up with songs from my new Vista machine (others used an XP machine)

    3. This iPod has been Jailbroken (??)

Anyone else had this problem please? I have noticed one or two tracks before which did not copy all of the song from the CD, but that was the same on the version in iTunes. I am fairly sure these are all OK in iTunes, so it seems that not all of the track has copied across to the iPod.

I have also noticed that one of the Music Videos got corrupted when I copied it across - worked fine in iTunes and works on iPod now I recopied it. A couple of pictures got corrupted too.

I wonder if the USB port or the cable are faulty? The cable is the one which came with my lates iPod Nano. I assumed they were all interchangeable.

    Any thoughts please?

Crossfade settings are in Itunes I believe. Make sure the songs play well in Itunes as well.

I just checked in iTunes and crossfade is not enabled.

Maybe I need to delete all the songs from the iTouch and copy them over again, but I don't see that is any more likely to be successful.

Anyone else have this problem please?

The songs seem OK in Itunes on the PC.

    Angry

Just to add my voice to the chorus - I have the same problem, and I reached the conclusion that it's a bug in the firmware
