Problem after upgrade
First I shall give you my basics,
I first had downloaded ziphone then, I Jailbreaked my 4.1.1 ipod 8g touch and, It had worked great my installer a little slow but i was still satisfied. Now here is where all hell broke loose, i decided to "upgrade" to whatever i could get and i just so happend to download 1.1.5?... it had erased all of the lovely customized personal ipod apps and settings, and now INSTALLER DOESNT WORK PLUS ON TOP OF THAT IT IS SUPER SLOW W/ EVERYTHING... "Error: Ipod has failed to install app" , something relatively close to that pops up after i click install plus my ipod crashes 24.7
ANY SUGGESTIONS ?!
should i upgrade again ?!
should i even bother to jailbreak it afterwards?
Need help confused
I have got two ipod touches one is a 16g with 1.1.5 verison on it. And the other one is a 8g with 1.1.4.
Ok here is my problem the 8g has all the icons on it and works fine.
The 16g does not have all the icons on it. It is missing email, maps and such. It will not let me move the icons around at all. Is there something wrong with the 16g ipod? Please help
You need a restore mate. Backup your stuff on iTunes, download the latest firmware you need at http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and then put device into DFU mode. Then using iTunes, shift+ click Restore, and select the firmware you downloaded.

They are less glitchy and run a lot smoother. You can use this http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ to download the latest fimwares. Make sure and don't mix up the 1st and 2nd gen firmwares. Also this is a way around paying $10 for the 2.0 update. Back up your stuff on itunes and restore. All your apps and music and videos will be saved.
