[iTouch] Upgrading from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 issues (important)
Hey All,
Phil here from jailbreakitouch.com. This is the issue that I am encountering. I have downgraded to 1.1.1 but unable to upgrade to 1.1.2 because the only option to upgrade is to 1.1.3.
I downloaded the firmware for 1.1.2 and after following the process of jailbreaking 1.1.1 and was successful. I am officially 1.1.1 jailbroken.
So the issue that I am having is when I do a restore to 1.1.2, it essentially wipes the iTouch and it is in 1.1.2 (factory 1.1.2 factory setting) but there is no installer or anything. It is like it is an out of the box 1.1.2.
I did try the bricker.exe upgrade several times but I encountered the same erro after attempting to apply the 1.1.3 soft patch "Error" You phone is not ready for upgrade" I was under the impression that this would work for the iTouch.
I did while in 1.1.2 upgrade successfully to 1.1.3 using the one touch installer but was having issues with the Summerboard. I attempted to uninstalled it but it gave me an error. I winSCP'd into the itouch and there was nothiing there.
So the main issue here is not being able to upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 without having set to 1.1.2 factory setting.
I have used all the installer directions for 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 but no results.
Does anyone have a solution as to how to upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 when the only option to upgrade is 1.1.3 via itunes and upon downloading the 1.1.2 firmware not to have it set up the iTouch as 1.1.2 factory settings but as an upgrade?
I hope this makes sense as I have not found any instructions anywhere that clear this up.
Thanks guys
Peace
