itouch 1st generation

ok i bought my daughter a itouch 1st gen and the app store isnt currently on there......... i did a little research and i think i need 2.0 firmware???? is this correct and how do i do this???? any help would be greatly appreaciated!!!!!! currently have 1.1.5 firmware please please help!!!!!!

Plug the phone into iTunes and follow the prompts to update. If you want to jailbreak, let us know, there will be more information we need and a lot more instruction you'll need.
