i have Ipod Touch with 1.1.5.
i downloaded the new FW 2.0.1 and used winpwn 2.0.0.4 to jailbreak. evrything goes fine untill i create a custome ipsw. then i put my touch into dfu mode but it jus goes into restore mode n when i try to do shift + restore with the newly made custom 2.0.1 ipsw it gives me a 160x error,, i tried 5 times now but same prob.... please help
Did you ever try to restore to the original 2.0.1 Firmware?
If you get a error in the 160's it means it's not in DFU mode. You need to to plug your iPod into usb, then hold sleep and home button for 10 sec no more or less. Then take your finger off the sleep button, but still hold down the home untill iTunes reads it
Hi there, i want you to read my story and if you can help me, last week a bought an 32 gigas's ipod touch i upgrade it to 1.1.5 and y wanted to buy the 2.0 but i am from Mexico and here the iTunes store doesn't support debit cards onle credit cards and i dont have the second one so i read that the ZiPhone for the jailbreak and was useful for the 1.1.5 so i downloaded it and install it but after i began with the jailbreak sudenly the hack stopped and apeared this message in the ipod: "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0" It can't return to the menu and it repits itself the whole time until i turn off the ipod by holding the power and home buttons, iTunes doesn't recongnize it, and if i turn it on apears the "basic mode" (black screen and white letters) and after 5 or 10 seconds apears the message.
Please HELP ME!!! the ipod is new and i dont wanna lose 500 dollars, can any of you give me a solution or at least a tip?? PLEASE
