So i just got an ipod touch 1G, and I want to jailbreak it.

I checked that site out but got stuck at step 16-17.

I tried the Untethered idea from youtube.

I tried quickpwn and pwnagetool, doesnt seem to work. Ipod either goes to Apple screen for a LONG time
or it just wants to go back to its older firmware.
If anyone could post up an easy tutorial, that'd be awesome.

Currently: iPod Touch 1G, firmware 2.2.1, using a Mac 10.5.8

Just a followup to what i was asking in this thread.

I made it work on my iPod touch 1G (3.1.2).
For my mac, i used blackra1n, i recommend this prog cause
it basically does everything for you. But you need to find
yourself the update for 3.1.2. Its on google i found it, and
on Youtube, no fee.

Once you have that, go to iTunes with iphone/touch connected,
on the mac, hold OPTION and click restore, PC hold Shift...or alt
and click restore. A window should pop up, select the firmware.
Let it do its thing.

Once thats done, and your iphone/touch is done with, open Blackra1n
and let it do its thing. Heres how you know you did it right, the boot-
screen on your iphone/touch should be a dude with iphones around
him. Let it boot, and when it restarts, it should have been jailbroken.

Just check if you have Cydia. If you do, you did it right, any questions,
ask me. I'll try to help
