Need iPod Touch to recognize copied app
Here's the deal. A little after I downloaded a bunch of applications, I reformatted my laptop and forgot to backup my apps first. Obviously, syncing my apps now would only erase what's on my iPod.
I found a program called iFun Box which very nicely allows me to add and remove files as I please. I will be selling my 3rd gen iPod Touch soon but would like to save all of my apps first. I tried testing this by deleting an app and then adding it back manually. There's just one problem. The app is where it's supposed to be but it's not showing up on my iPod screen. Is there any way I can get the iPod to recognize those files? I'll need to know how to do this when I get my iPod Touch 4th gen. Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. My iPod is jailbroken.

You can re-download your apps from the AppStore for free as long as you login with the same account that was used to purchase the apps in the first place.
If you are talking about pirate apps, we don't endorse or support this here. I'll close the thread if you try and ask for help with application piracy.
Cydia apps that you purchased are tied to the google or facebook ID you used during purchase (some are also tied to the device you registered the app on) - So you can re-download your purchased Cydia apps for free as long as you remember what ID you used.
None of the above techniques will retain settings (such as saved games, high scores etc) stored by a specific app on the iDevice. The only simple way to save all kind of data is to use the backup/restore feature within iTunes.

Not piracy. I just don't want to wait for all of my apps to download again. I did find a feature in iFunBox that saves all apps into IPA packages which iTunes will recognize. I should have browsed its feature set a little more thoroughly before posting. Thanks anyway!
