is possible to do lower level format on ipod touch 2nd or 3rd generation. The reason i want to do this is because my 2nd gen ipod keeps on giving error video cannot be played and same thing for music.

Also where can i get emergency ram disk?
Is there are tutorial to load ram disk to ipod touch 2nd gen from cmd prompt using irecovery?

PS I don't know if it is jailbroken because i bought it of Craigslist and it doesn't have cydia installed so my guess is its not jailbroken.
