GO FOR IT!
its the best thing you can do for your ipod touch!
anyways.. if something happens you can always RESTORE!
believe me.. ive gone through many things and that's been my only solution..
Jailbreak is better than having an old black screen as your theme and a bunch of useless apps APPLE provides.. not to be rude but.. they made a huge mistake by not providing same iPhone apps to the ipod touch...
and there's also many cool apps that iphone and ipod touch don't have.. and installer.app does.. xD
JAILBREAK! IS JUST AWESOME!

And, jailbreaking it, voids my warranty?

Well, in theory, yes. But if there is every any problem, restore it back and then it would seem that as nothing has been changed, you warranty is back
There are no hardware modifications and it would seem that on the iPod touch any software modifications that you make can be restored, so everything should be safe and cool.

But, all the people having these problems, one guy cannot restore his iPod, another cannot recharge his iPod's battery, another sound doesn't come out of his iPod. And all these people jailbreaked their iPods, restored them [except for the first guy] and they still had these problems. I have jailbroken an iPod, it is really easy, but it was from a friend, not mine.

I haven't really read about the others but I went straight ahead and jailbroke mine, with no problems so far. (Touch wood!)

well you have just said it.. all of them restored their ipod except for one.. but still.. if the problem persists.. you can always use your warranty to change it.. once your ipod is restored there's no way they could tell you jailbreaked it.. well as far as some stories ive heard..
i don't know but.. i advice a jailbreak.. xD

See, if I jailbreak, can I still use the apps Apple pump through App Store ?
And can I download warez apps (built with official SDK) and install on my iPhone (sorry, I'm talking about iPhone here) ?
Would appreciate a reply.
