My iPod Touch was working perfectly yesterday and today it wont turn on and itunes wont recognize it.

well i renamed it im not sure maybe iphone if it were iphone how could this be fixed??

Well you would have to restore to iPod touch firmware if you used iPhone firmware. If its all the way off try holding home and plugging it in while holding home and see if iTunes sees it

wow this looks really bad...this is why we stress the use of correct firmware with the right device...have you tried dfu mode as well?
