    Default iPod Touch WiFi features

Could not find any mention on the apple spec page about that type of WiFi encryption the iPod Touch supports. Anyone know which, if any, of these are supported: WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK?

    Thanks

Yea, I have a touch and in the wi-fi setting it gives you the options to choose what encryption method(?) is used

nor does it handle LEAP which i need at school. it boggles my mind why they didnt include it and wpa enterprise when pretty much every apple computer with wifi supports it, especially since the wifi chip is an a/b/g.

I may be completely wrong, but the increased encryption strength of WPA Enterprise and LEAP may simply demand too much processing power and battery. How are other mobile devices handling this? My PSP doesn't have it.

its my understanding that it isnt a whole lot different than wpa/wep other than it provides per-user access. for example, wpa/wep just use 1 generic password, leap uses a username and password so access can be moderated per user much like a *nix environment without making seperate networks for each user.

i can see how the battery might suffer some, but i dont think it's that much more complex that it would be omitted because of cpu usage. they most likely just didnt get the license from cisco for the iphone/ipod touch.

Question I got WPA Enterprise on Touch

I just 2 days ago set up Touch with WPA enterprise encryption. It was in the list of "Security" (it was a newly bought one with max capacity of 32G) Today I got another Touch a and tried to set up WI-FI on it. I did not see WPA Enter on the list.
Does somebody know if the WPA Enter is included in the newest UPDATE for Touch.
My guess it might come in it. Let also know if you find answer.:hack:
