I have only one problem following that guide.
The SSH step doesn't work (I have installed the ssh successfully)
I get ssh: connect to host IP_HERE port 22: Connection refused

Home screen --> Settings -->WiFi
Click the little arrow on the wireless network that you are connected to.
Your IP is listed there.

Can't Copy rdisk0s1 with iPhuc
Hi, I followed the instructions posted but when I try to do the getfile i get this error:
getfile: Failed to open remote file: 8
Anyone had this or know what's going on? It's plugged in, iTunes is not open, it's at 1.1.1. Weird.

don't type what you read from the guide. Do copy and paste instead. It should work if your ipod is a 1.1.1

I have been copying and pasting it but it just doesn't work for me.
The iPod touch is plugged in
It is at version 1.1.1
iTunes is not open
I downloaded the version of iPHUC linked in the tutorial
I run iPHUC
I paste this: getfile /dev/rdisk0s1 iphonefs/rdisk0s1 314572800
Any other ideas?

don't use the hard reboot (avoiding to slide the power off) othewise the SSH deamon won't start - that was my mistake and I was getting connection refused.
YEEESS - I made it !!! LOVE YOU ALL
everyone on the air, do what I did last night, DONATE. This is fun, but it takes time and effort, it has to be rewarded no matter what!

Reason: because I'm jailbroken now!

What is the output from the getfile command?
Are you actually running iphuc from a Terminal, or just double-clicking it and running the getfile from a standard Terminal?
Do an ls to verify that the iphuc executable is in your current directory. Typing ./iphuc at the prompt in that directory should get you going. Then issue the getfile command.

Ignore me I'm being an idiot the iPod hadn't actually crashed from the TIFF, the page never loaded properly. So I'm on my way again!

OK so I'm MUCH further on, thank you! However I have a new problem...
I run AppTapp, great. I type ctrl+c in the terminal and it closes fine. I then try to navigate to http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/beta/ but Safari won't open it, I get a dialog saying: "Safari can't download this file."
Any thoughts? I really appreciate your help!
EDIT: So I rebooted the iPod and it was able to access the URL after that. Everything is working which is great!!! I installed Summerboard and that is screwy, gives me a dock overlying the top of the screen that doesn't work, but uninstalling it fixed it.
Thank you!!!
