An interesting enigma (The best kind of enigmas)
Yeah, I know, it's another "help me!" thread. But this one's thought-provoking and potentially a really simple answer!
My university's wireless network has a bunch of silly security measures - several of which are getting in my way when trying to access it with my new baby (one of these iPod Touches you're all talking about - an 8gb model.) I've got it all nice & jailbroken - but the security settings the network uses are not compatible with the Touch. From what I've been told, the network uses WPA-Enterprise and a certain Microsoft-specific network security protocol (I can figure it out if necessary,) both of which are incompatible with the iTouch/iPhone wifi.
So my question is this: has anyone heard of a jailbreak app that gives the owner/user greater (preferably MUCH greater) control over the iTouch's networking settings? Or is it something that's just impossible to do - potentially hardware-wise?
Thanks for reading and thinking about it,
Deathlike

I unfortunately don't have the answer, but I'd suggest you also look around a PingTunnel system, which (for macs, PC and linuxes up to now) allows to tunnel connexions to your home machine (and from there to internet) through any ping-open wifi device (and they are all open to pings for now).
This would basically solve the issue, whatever the wifi system, open or not.
