XianLi- I have tried putting it in DFU mode, but it is not being reconized by my computer, in the program it never gets farther then "searching for iphone". Also, what do you mean by use "search"?

    Thanks bryscomat!
i have to agree, i have spent hours trying to figure out how to fix this problem now. i purchased a cd for how to unlock/jailbreak a ipod touch or an iphone. in the cd, there's step by step instructions, but the creator failed to clarify that if it's an ipod don't follow the steps. two days now i've spent trying to do this, and end up having to restore the ipod over and over again. tried everything to get it back to a restorable mode, and nothing worked to get it. but i followed the specific instructions on "connect itunes, and then connect the ipod and do the restore mode"
    thanks !!!!!!

    Default I need help!!!

i hope someone can help me with this.
i did everything step by step as it stated on the cd i bought on how to jailbreak. after i did the iliberty, my itunes wouldn't connect, kept saying an error couldn't find ipod, and then my screen on my ipod went back to the restore mode (usb cable with an arrow pointing at the itunes logo).
so i reinstalled itunes, and when i opened it afterwards, i restored my ipod, but of course doing so must've erased the jailbreak.
can someone help me out and tell me what i did wrong? now everything set back to factory settings on my ipod, meaning i've lost everything, and will have to start from scratch again. so far i've taken 2 full days trying to jailbreak, with no success, always end up having to start over again.
    someone please help me!!!
