Step 1. Download the iBrickr Special edition (Link in the 1st page)
Step 2. Extract the zip to your desktop, run iBrickr.
Step 3. Follow the instructions, it will automatically detect your version, prepare your iPod, download the Apple's firmware
Step 4. It'll take a while to download it, extract it and upload it to your iPod.
Step 5. After it's finished, you should install the "1.1.3 soft update" from Installer in the System category. If it is not there, refresh your sources.
Step 6. You should boot into 1.1.3 iPhone firmware. Don't worry as it will take a while to boot, and maybe in the proccess will mess up with your icons!!! Just wait until it reboots!
Step 7. Gain access to your iPod using Touch Explorer (Link in the 1st page)
Step 8. Open Touch Explorer, click in the up arrow to go to / and then navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app and download the file titled "Springboard" It will be just a blank icon with no extension. Right click on it, then click the option with the (W), it'll open a dialog asking where you wanna put the file, so place it on the Desktop.
Step 9. Download sdelta3orig.zip to your Desktop and unzip it there (Link in the 1st page). Drag the SpringBoard file from previous step into this folder as well and rename it to SpringBoard_orig.
Step 10. Open the sdelta3 folder right click on the file cygwin1.dll and select Open With. Find command prompt, it should be in /Windows/system32 it will be called "cmd.exe".
Step 11. Command Prompt should open into the sdelta3 folder. Type the following command:
sdelta3 Springboard_orig SpringBoard_patch.sd3 > SpringBoard
Step 12. This will create a new file called Springboard. Send this file back to the /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app by dragging and droping it in the Touch Explorer window, and overwrite the file there.
Step 13. Reboot your iPod.
Step 14. Enjoy and donate to iBrickr team
i had the same problem after upgrading to 1.1.3, google maps kept crashing. after starting it with ssh on terminal, i got the error "Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/GMM.framework/GMM"

Hi all.. I came to the step to install the "1.1.3 soft update" from the system category, but its not there..
I tried refreshing my sources but still it doesn't turn up. I have only the official apptapp source in the source list.. which one should i add to get the 1.1.3 soft update??
Bug in this 1.1.3 jailbroken:
In clock (alarm and stopwatch), there are no sounds available. Anyone having the same problem, please confirm.
The firmware that is sent to the phone is not deleted after the jailbroken, so you waste 300mb of space. I found the file and deleted, it's in your private folder, in another folder which name I don't recall.
I used installer's offical updater, and wincsp to get springboard to patch and than put it back... wincsp is very easy to use, and just put your permission as 755 there it will do fine.. everything working shiny with all $ updates... thanx mate...

I'm a ITouch virgin, or I guess it's my touch that's still chase.
I've upgraded it's software to 2.0.2
I'm so frustrated by Apples unwillingness to provide a usable way for us/me to sync this with multiple computers by simply being able to choose which component is driving(ie: touch writes over computer or computer writes over touch). If they would adopt something that many developers like Palm have been doing for years, they would have a much happier and even more devoted following.
So will someone please let me know what my best options are for proceeding.
I have a technical(video engineering) background but much of what I'm seeing for this stuff is losing me..
...in short, HELP !
Thanks In Advance For Anything You Can Offer...
