Default [1.1.2] Jailbreak problem (Jailbreak.jar and windows.bat wont work)

    As topic.

    Had a 1.1.2.
    Downgraded to 1.1.1
    Jailbroke it.
    Installed oktoprep.
Shiftclicked UPDATE-button (not RESTORE) and updated to 1.1.2.
Trying to run Jailbreak.jar but it says i havent installed oktoprep on the iPod, which i have.
Tried with the windows.bat on a windows-machine and it said my iPod wasnt connectable.

    Tips?

    Thanks in advance.

Why do you post in my thread?

To fix it: Run windows.bat (windows) or jailbreak.jar (mac) and click "Boot from Recovery".

    Hello,

I am also having the same problem (when I run windows.bat it says that I had had to run OktoPrep, which I did...).

Can any one tell what exactly "Boot from recovery" does?

What iTunes processes exactly we have to shut down (on Task Manager, I presume), after closing iTunes?

Is it in any way possible that this is caused by the update AppSnap sugests when it firs run?

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    D

Same for me Stupidly I left iTunes helper running (no mention to quit it though in the wiki on modmyifone).

So now it is stuck in recovery mode... Nu luck on clicking the boot from recovery button? In iTunes I can only select restore (so it will wipe my iPhone).

    Any tips?
