Had a 1.1.2.
Downgraded to 1.1.1
Jailbroke it.
Installed oktoprep.
Shiftclicked UPDATE-button (not RESTORE) and updated to 1.1.2.
Trying to run Jailbreak.jar but it says i havent installed oktoprep on the iPod, which i have.
Tried with the windows.bat on a windows-machine and it said my iPod wasnt connectable.

Tips?

My computer either does this, or after i kill iTunes, run the jailbreak.jar seems to be installing, then sends the iPod directly into restore mode. Even if iTunes doesnt pop up during the time i am running the .jar file, it still sends it to restore mode and doesnt reboot the iPod with Installler present.

Whats going on?

make sure u have iTunes 7.5 or below, 7.6 makes the okto prep undo.

make sure itune recognize the ipod after you upgrade to 112 or jailbreak.jar will not work.

I can confirm that the problem is iTunes 7.6 This took me all evening to figure out, but thankfully, I had not upgraded my MacBook from 7.5 and it worked flawlessly.

I was able to do it as well.

I did two things differently.

1. Used iTunes 7.5
2. Killed iTunesHelper.exe process
