I would hope that because of their claims that 3.0 is already jailbroken, that they would just release it. Seeing that most that are probably using the beta, are probably the same type of people that would jailbreak their phones as well

I hope they will. I don't see a point why shouldn't they.

Technically, they can release a jailbreak as soon as official 3.0 is out. 3rd party application developers usually knows how to jailbreak by themselves and may not need to rely on DEV-Team application.

However, this mileage may vary, as we may or may not have a new device (iPhone 3rd Gen) around, they may chose to delay all launches. This is the "wait and see" scenario, suggest you follow it.
