Update 1.1.4 to newest firmware
Hello,
I have a o2 UK iPhone 2G 8GB unlocked and jailbroken via iLiberty. My baseband is 04.04.05_G, bootloader 4.6. I use a German T-Mob Sim, everything works 100%.
Would an update or restore to the newest firmware in iTunes get rid of the unlock and jailbreak?
Thanks!

Yes and yes - it is easy to fix on a 2G though
If you own a mac use this guide:

If you run windows look at this post:

@Olethros:
Thanks for your quick reply.
I assume I would still have to do the push fix and, if necessary, the youtube fix?

All dev team releases include a fix for youtube so you don't need to worry about that.
Push fix, you can either do the "install a push app, turn on and then off push and uninstall push app" approach if you don't want to use push.
If you want to use push, you can use http://www.hackint0sh.org/f127/96716.htm or buy a certificate from pushfix.info

Can you recommend any free push apps that work best for this method?
Thank you!
