Is there a way that I could hide the Carrier Internet icon?
I saw in Cydia that there is an invisible Edge icon theme, that makes the icon dissapear even though the phone would detect such a data connection...
In my case, on my 3.1 3G, my iPhone detects my carriers internet data availability, and, even though I have NOTHING activated in that sense on my phone or with my carrier, it always displays that stupid blue dot next to the carrier signal......
Is there a way I could get rid of that? because I tried the theme, but it doesn't work. Maybe it hasn't been updated for 3.1? I did e-mail the developer, but never heard back...
Thanks!

Dunno about wb "invisible" (transparent/alpha) theme, but that icon is located at:
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
You can make a backup of it, then replace it with a 100% transparent copy of it.
The EDGE will no longer appear. If you prefer you can download any edge theme and edit that theme edge icon, this way you can easily make it invisible and back visible just by using wb.
Hope that helps.

thanks for the tip man!!!!!!!
it has fixed my problem.
I just moved everything that had the name edge, umts, gprs to an other folder (the icon files of course) and voila, no more dull blue dot.........
the blue dot stands for umts, right?
Thanks so much for the tip!!
Anyway, I can still see the progress bar spinning half a centimeter to the right from my carrier bars indicating that the icon is still there but it just doesn't have colour.... could there possibly be a way through which I'd also get rid of that? just out of curiosity.
Thanks again!

I doubt it. I dont think that is a graphic thingy, I think the animation comes from some binary. Again, I "think", in other words, im just speculating. You can try to locate the loading icon (if in fact that is a png) and do the same.
Cheers
