tethering w/ tmobile U.S. borked after APN change
i've tried loading the t-mobile profile from help.benm.at and generating a profile at iphone-notes.de.
in either case the profile loads fine. but, when i change the APN to the new internet2.voicestream.com address the tethering option disappears from the page.
i tried about 4 different steps through the process, including loading the profile while plugged in to USB. when the profile loads, and i activate tethering, the network connection is made with the computer and i get the 'tethering activated' banner at the top of the phone.
but, of course using the included wap.voicestream.com APN does not work. as soon as i change the APN to internet2.....the connection drops and the tethering option disappears in front of my eyes.
is this a known issue? is there a fix/workaround. currently it appears i cannot tether.

fix is easy. you don't NEED a patched commcenter file for tmobile...at least not in 3.1.2.
i restored to the original file, and loaded the tmobile settings from:
http://www.adamkparker.com/downloads...b.mobileconfig
MMS and tethering both work, though sometimes i have to reload the mobileconfig file again right before tethering. *something* eats the profile and the tethering option disappears from the menu. but, loading it with USB plugged in allows immediate tethering. i just made an iconized bookmark for the file and keep it right on the front page of the phone.
