Updated my 2G iPhone with restore to 3.1.2 and jailbreak/unlock with redsn0w without any issues and did the same to my wife's. The phones were identical before that, but after bringing the back-up on hers, the Notes app is messed up. I can not open most of the notes and the ones that I can have wrong content. If I want to start a new one I can type, but when hit DONE it kicks me out of the Notes app without saving it.

I have restored her phone twice, but no success. Can anyone recommend a solution. Thank you in advance.

Same problem here. Redsnow 0.9.4 windows 3.1.3 FW on 2G iphone. Youtube and NOTES were not working. Fixed youtube problem via push fix from Cydia. NOTES still not working. Any suggestions?

ok found the website here. this worked for me. note that all your existing notes will delete. and in instructions there is a space between cd and /private

Restore from iTunes backup is not officially supported when the iPhone is jailbroken. It can cause problems (they are rare though)

Glad to see that you found a solution for your specific problems without needing to set up iPhone as new. Which is the normal recommendation for problems like yours.
