Skype issues with new mobile substrate ???

Since the latest update of mobile substrate skype is crashing all the time, I can't even get past the log in before it crashes back to home screen, anyone else having this problem???

I have the last Version of MObile Substrate (0.9.2977-1). After that update, my Skype crash after 20-25 seconds, seems like that old bug.

I have a 3G 16Gb Iphone with a 3.0fw and no Winterboard.

If I remove voipover3g skype works perfectly. Seems to be a conflict between voipover3g(v1.1), mobile substrate(v0.9.2977-1) and skype(v1.1). 3G unrestrictor has the same problem. So, actually Skype works only on wi-fi connection. I can´t believe no one is having the same problem as mine.

No problems with my wife's iPhone 3g here. Running winterboard and tricket threeG. But I am having problems with my 3GS. Only works on safe mode and wifi together. I pretty much uninstalled everything to see what conflicts but no luck so far

Yeah, seems to be a problem with the latest update of mobile substrate. And I had a weird pop-up last night when dialing a skype-out number something like "no microphone is connected" coming up every time and killing the call..

Restarting the son of a gun helped... And sure enough, it crashes every now and then, typically at startup. But once you're past the startup stage, it seems to be ok...

At least for my iphone 3gs I found the problem. Maybe for some one else is a different

problem. Well mine was a conflict with rotation inhibitor for sbsettings.

Hi. I have just solved my problem. What I had to do was uninstall Voipover3G and reinstalling, but with version 1.02 (voipover3g). After that, skype back to works perfectly, even with the last mobile substrate (2977-1). Don´t know if will work for you. But worked for me. So, for me the problem wasn´t the Mobile Substrate, more probably with the voipover3g last version (1.1).

Turns out it was nothing to do with Mobile substrate or voipover3g or 3g Unrestrictor. it was an app locking app I had installed called Madvlock that was causing skype to crash. I have now uninstalled it and installed an app called lockdown which does the same job, now everything runs perfectly
