Looking for suggestions how to set permissions on a iapd file for transfer into a 1st generation iPhone updated to 3.0.

Jailbroken just fine, now looking to replace one file to fix a popup window problem, the infamous "This accessory..." warning.

Last time, I used iCommander, but believe that won't work in 3.0.

Suggestions?
