So I have an... interesting problem. I just purchased an iphone 2G V.1 8GB for $25 because it has a faulty digitizer. The touchscreen works on the upper half but not the lower (including the unlock slide).

I'd like to avoid the old "buy LCD+digitizer from shady Hong Kong ebayer then fix myself" solution. I've read that some people have achieved partial fixes by hacking the plist to increase the sensitivity on the iphone. How does one do this on FW 3.0?
