[Problem] [Solved] Help me Jailbreak my iPhone 3G OS 3.0
hi i have a iPhone 3G with OS 3.0
i used pwnage 3.0 to jailbreak but unfortunately after the pwnage tool builds a custom ipsw and directs me to DFU mode, itunes says waiting for iPOD.....then comes up with an error msg.
please help
i have tried redsnow as well but that isn;t working either.
on redsnow after it says waiting for DFU mode, on the waiting for iPhone reboot, it just gets stuck on that. i left it for 30/35 mins and it was just saying waiting for reboot.
please help me jailbreak my iPhone !!! please somebody help !!!

anything else u got for me?
Try create a new user with admin privileges on System Preferences / Accounts . Do a logout and login with this new user.
Now try redsn0w for 3.0 ipsw.

Goodluck,
i created a new user with admin privileges. then did another restore with iTunes and then launched redsnow but it still gets stuck on the waiting to reboot part. how long does that waiting to reboot stay for normally?? its been 15 mins for me already and still no change.

Since you are on a Mac, did you try the DFU fix first? Unibody Macbooks (Late 2008) & Mac OS X 10.5.6 regain iPhone DFU mode support | iLikeMyiPhone
Looks like this should solve the problem. You may try the custom firmware if you like : Download Custom iPhone 3G 3.0 Firmware ipsw Files to Activate, Jailbreak, Unlock iPhone 3G 3.0 | iLikeMyiPhone
