I get the Apple Screen, and the Usb screen..nothing else

I reinstalled Itunes, I tried Redsnow, Quickpwn(just crashes)
nothing..

Different Users on my pc..nothing

I have a iPone 2g with the 3.0 software and i used redsnow..it worked fine for about a week, I was on cydia downloaded something and it just froze. I tried to reset it and nothing..

Can some one please help a Beesh out

Drain the battery completely and recharge with phone off....turn phone on and try again..

below is a fix from UnLocker....thank you Unlocker

try and get back to the home screen and No panic! First you are not going to restore to older versions using this iTunes version (I assume you are using the latest).

Lets try some stuff first. For this you will be using the ORIGINAL firmware from Apple. The md5sum of it should be:

463e37446a342857737a1633470faf8d iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Just make sure your firmware is not corrupted before we start. If it is (if the md5sum is different), download a new copy!

FORCED DFU MODE

1) Now, plug the iPhone to the PC/Mac and wait for the apple logo to appear ( the iphone is starting to boot)
2) Press and hold home+power until it boots
3) Right after the boot, count to 5 (5 seconds) and let go the power button (keep holding home)
4) Now you are in DFU. Try to restore it.


FORCED RECOVERY MODE

1) Plug the iPhone to the PC/Mac and wait for the apple logo to appear ( the iphone is starting to boot)
2) Press and hold home+power until it boots and keep holding until you see the recovery message poping in the computer screen.
4) Try to restore it.

I can't get back to the home screen.

it goes to prepare iphone for update ill get 2 maybe 4 bars the max then it stops and the error screen comes up

Try this if you are unsuccessful with 3.0 unlock/jailbreak.

Go to DFU mode and get the 2.2.1 firmware and load it. (Shift Restore after iTunes detects your phone in recovery mode.)

Also, do a clean reinstall of iTunes. Do not use the latest iTunes. Install the one on the iClarified page below. (iTunes 8.0.2.)

Before downgrading your iTunes, make sure you rename the iTunes Folder in your C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Music\iTunes to lets say something like iTunes_Bak. May be you can delete it if you don't have any important in that. This folder info is for Windows XP. For Vista I think this is in C:\User\My Documents\My Music. Also, go to Control panel and uninstall any Apple specific software like Mobile Updater etc. May be uninstall Quicktime as well. Once you remove all these things, do a fresh install of iTunes 8.0.2 and do the same that you did for your 2.2.1 unlock. Once you downgrade, do the same thing that you did for upgrading to 3.0.

Yay Me!!!! lol I got it to the home screen



For those having this same problem I'll tell you what I did..

1. Created a new User Account on my Computer set it to Administrator

2. Installed the newest version of iTunes

3. Downloaded the new software

4. Unplugged All the USB's in the Back

5. Plugged in the iPhone Usb and the mouse

6. Closed all open windows

7. Back up and Running


if i woulda did this weeks ago lol ..Im about to dl the RedSnow and do the iClarified.

So i'll be back and let yall now if that works
