Preferred unlock tools for 2g?

It's been a while since I unlocked any 2g devices, and I suddenly have 3x devices to unlock and update!

So, I'm wondering what is the preferred tools and OS versions to do this, and what's the proper procedure.. thanks.

1. is a virgin 2g phone running 3.1.3

2 and 3. were unlocked with a few different tools back from the beginning, and are running 2.1.2

I have both a mac and a pc, just looking for the best and easiest way to do it, with so many tools out there?

Solution for all three. Upgrade/Restore to 3.1.3 or 3.1.2 and then use iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.1.3 Using RedSn0w (Windows) to jailbreak.
