hey guyz i searched all over google bt dint got any proper 3.1.2 custom ipsw file for my 2g 3.0, whnevr i try to uprade aftr successfuly entering to dfu mode n even after reinstalling itunes i get 1601 error again n again..how can or where i can find good custom 3.1.2 hacktivated firmware...help..thnx

yes it is jailbroken...n yes m on windows....
Simply shift click restore in iTunes and select the custom ipsw you downloaded.
The iPhone needs to be in normal mode or restore mode. Not DFU mode.
