Mobile Safari problem with bookmarks

HI everybody!

I need some help since I have no idea how that happened and how to deal with it.

Safari does not dive an option to save a bookmark the regular way. The two tabs- ADD BOOKMARK and ADD TO HOME SCREEN give the same result- suggestion to put an icon of the bookmarked page on the home screen. I am not able thisway to add bookmarks to the folder.

I know people have encountered that problem, but did not find solution digging in Google. Please, help.

My iPhone 3G has 3.01 FW
I do not want to make any restore or smthng like that since I have almost 200 apps on it and I am afraid that it will take me too much time to sync them back

Make sure your Mail app appears on the Springboard.

Drag it out of Categories (or any other app that might be hiding it) and check SBSettings to make sure it is set to "ON".

It should work fine now.

I'm sure a smarter man exists to explain this wicked sorcery.
