A little tip for people with 2G iphones that are stuck on OS3.0 activation screen
Hey guys,
just been messing around with my iphone 2g. was on old firmware but had a stupid moment and updated to 3.0.
now, my iphone recognises im on T-mobile, and i can recieve calls and texts, but I can only make "emergence calls". that is, unless you have a bluetooth accessory...
My iphone still luckily sync's up to my in-car sterio, from which i can dial numbers and call them without bringing the dialer up on the screen. So, all you have to do is...
1. hope your iphone syncs to your blue-tooth device
2. enter the number you wish to call on your blue-tooth hands free
3. press dial.
4. ??????
5. Profit.
a strange little thing afterwards is this: when the call ends, your contacts list will appear, but then very quickly turn off before you can do anything. I wonder if this could be exploited.....
This will only work if your phone already knows your carrier. my 2g is still technically unlocked due to the baseband not being updated, but because its a T-mobile chip, i cant activate it and use as a normal phone untill jailbreak is released
