HELP! Updated app. Phone crashes !!

I was on Cydia and i updated a app i downloaded for smsbackground and lockscreen and home background. It updated then restarted my iPhone 3G. Now it wont start and freezes at lockscreen and restarts.
I tried going through SSH but it was off in sbsettings and i think i cant get into it fast enought to delete it anyway.
I really do not want to re-jb cause i will lose all my contacts and apps.

Please i need proffesional help

Was your last jailbreak performed with any other tool than blackra1n?

If so you may be able to fix this via a program like iPhone browser. This connects via the USB cable rather than SSH

Even if you did use blackra1n then you may still have this troubleshooting option if you installed a packgage called afc2add from cydia.

Your contacts should be synced to your computer each time you sync your phone. Same with apps (you can also repurchase apps for free) plus there is a backup of most of your iPhone data stored on your local computer each time you sync or manually trigger a backup.
