Can i upgrade to 3.0

Hi folks
i have iphone 3g 16gb
running 2.2.1 firmware and baseband 2.30.00
and it's officially unlocked (i mean i can use any GSM without Yellows0w)

so anyway >> my question is : can i upgrade to 3.0 without have my iphone locked (i don't care for the jailbrake)

Beta 3.0 firmware will only officially activate (even on your official phone) if your phones UUID is registered as a development device.
