apple logo and progress bar problem

I've put 3.0 onto my 2g with no issues.
after i install winterboard and some themes i see a problem
the screen changes to the apple logo with a progress bar, flickers with the screen that was there previously, it will do this repeatedly until it resprings, comes back to lock screen and goes into end less loop

odd thing is the apple progress bar logo screen will come and go until it gets really bad and i have to restore it all over again.

i can't be certain but it seems to happen after i install something from cydia, perhaps a theme

i figured something out,
this only happens after i SSH
i upload my ringtones
and i hate the ones that come preinstalled so i just delete those
well apple does a file check and see files missing
hence why the apple progress bar as its trying to restore to a previous state

do not delete your ringtones that come with the OS
you can add but cant delete anything
